What is Landscape Architecture Today?

Landscape Architecture is defined as the art and practice of designing the outdoor environment, especially designing parks or gardens together with buildings and roads. Landscape architecture is a multi-disciplinary field, incorporating aspects of botany, horticulture, the fine arts, architecture, industrial design, soil sciences, environmental psychology, geography, and ecology.

Being a complex and all encompassing profession, it leads many people to wonder exactly what is landscape architecture?
